Dr. Derrick Spiva

An educator with 40 years of experience beginning in 1982 with the Los Angeles County Office of Education, a tenured instructor at West Hills College, and served as a professor of Ethnic Studies at San Francisco State University. Dr. Spiva is fully credentialed for secondary school and community college. Dr. Spiva has been certified through the California State University System for

advanced online teaching and online course design development for university professors across the CSU system. Derrick served as superintendent of West Fresno Performing Arts Charter School. Now semi-retired, He currently serves as an instructor for the

Antelope Valley Adult School, preparing adults for the GED and High School Diplomas. He has extensively researched the emerging technology of VR/AR educational applications. 

He is a Fulbright-Hayes scholar with post-doctoral seminar studies in Egypt and Israel. As an entertainment industry professional, he has also performed and produced professionally in theater and television for the past 30 years.

Dr. Spiva holds a Ph.D. from San Antonio Theological Seminary, a Masters of Fine Arts & Teaching Credentials from the University of California at Irvine, and a Bachelor's in Communications and Business from California State University, Northridge. The NAACP and the United States Congress recognized him for outstanding service in educational performing arts and media (television and professional theater

Dr. Elizabeth Taylor

Dr. Elizabeth D. Taylor has spent her entire 30-year career advancing the learning development, and betterment of peoples around the world as a university professor and administrator, business owner and visionary educational leader. In 2001, Dr. Taylor founded and organized Wisdom-To-Go, a not-for-profit organization, where she is President and CEO. Dr. Taylor holds a Ph.D. from the Union Institute & University in Organizational Psychology and Leadership, and a Master of Science from University of San Francisco in Human Behavior and Organizational Development. She is a specialist in Jungian depth psychology, metaphysics and classical theories of human growth, behavioral sciences, and organizational development. She is an award-winning author of several books, including her recent university textbook: Formula 9: Conscious Living for Modern Generations. Dr. Taylor received the American Library Award for her published book, Straight Up! Teens' Guide to Taking Charge of Their Lives.

Russell Leavitt

Russell is a forward-thinking and innovative individual with a strong background in immersive technologies, particularly virtual reality (VR). He holds a degree in Computers Arts from California State University and attended the Academy of Art University in San Francisco, CA majoring in Motion Pictures and Video, where he developed a deep understanding of the principles and applications of VR and related technologies.

 

In his career, he has worked on a number of exciting VR projects including producing and production credits with Meta Oculus TV, using his expertise to create engaging and immersive experiences for a wide range of audiences. In his free time, Russell is an avid explorer of the latest and greatest in VR and immersive technologies, constantly seeking out new ways to push the boundaries of what is possible. He is a passionate advocate for the potential of VR and other immersive technologies to revolutionize the way we live, work, and play, and is always looking for new opportunities to make a meaningful impact in this exciting field. He is also an instructor who has taught students new technologies as they appear over the decades in schools and community colleges. Featuring youth programs for PBS and Warner affiliates.

Rickey Soto

Rickey Soto is an active artist with 10+ years of experience both in front of and behind the scenes. He has led multiple shows in the San Francisco bay area and produced various CEEDTV productions. His expertise is rooted at Modesto Junior college and San Francisco State University and are supplemented by his many years of field experience.
